RocketReach alternatives for staffing and recruiting firms
By Drippay, Inc.Published 7 min read
RocketReach is a contact lookup tool. You search for a person or a company, and it returns emails and phone numbers. Its own materials say it is used for sales, hiring, and executive search, so recruiters and agency owners do use it, both to reach candidates and to reach employers.
Vendor facts and prices are from RocketReach’s own pages, checked October 6, 2026, and its numbers are its claims. Disclosure: we build dreach, a managed service for staffing and recruiting firms. dreach is not a contact database. It flags employers hiring and delivers the hiring manager with a current email and phone, and the warmest way in.
while you compare
dreach shows the client ledger.
Your team decides who to contact.
the short version
- Keep RocketReach if you need email and phone lookups for known people at a fixed annual price, with CRM export and a browser extension.
- Choose Apollo if you want a database with sequences and a dialer, and public per-seat prices.
- Choose Cognism if phone-verified mobiles and hiring or job-change signals justify a sales-led package.
- Consider dreach if you already know which employers matter and need to know which are hiring now, who owns the role, and how to reach them through someone you know.
What RocketReach does, from its own site
RocketReach’s home page describes 700M profiles and 60M companies, email and phone lookup, news, technology, and intent insights, AI-written messages, an Autopilot feature for automated prospecting workflows, CRM and marketing integrations, a contact data API, and a browser extension. It cites 90-98% deliverability on verified emails. That is a vendor figure and we have not tested it.
RocketReach pricing, as published
RocketReach publishes three plans on its pricing page. The figures below are the annual-billing prices the page shows. The page lists unlimited email and phone lookups on annual plans, with a cap on exports, so read the export limit and its unlimited-credits policy before you size a desk.
| Plan | Listed price | What it lists |
|---|---|---|
| Essentials | $399 per year, billed annually ($33 per month) | Email only, 1,200 exports per year, up to 500 emails per day, API and MCP access |
| Pro | $899 per year, billed annually ($75 per month) | Email and phone, 3,600 exports per year, technologies, news, org charts, Autopilot, CRM integrations including Bullhorn |
| Ultimate | $1,699 per year, billed annually ($142 per month) | Email and phone, 20,000 exports per year, more Autopilot jobs, custom Salesforce mapping, intent data |
When RocketReach is the better choice
It is a plain tool with a visible price, which is a real advantage.
- You need a contact for a person you already know you want to reach.
- A fixed annual price is easier to approve than credit meters.
- You want a Bullhorn, Salesforce, or HubSpot export on the Pro tier.
- You also want the same database to look up candidates, and you will test coverage in your niche first.

What a contact database does not tell you
A record shows that a person exists and how to reach them. It does not show that the employer opened a role last week, that the person owns the hire, or that your firm has a warm way in. For a staffing firm, that is the missing half. A good test is to take ten employers you know, run them through any database, and count how many results would have told you to call this week.

Where dreach fits, and where it does not
dreach is a managed service for staffing and recruiting firms. It finds employers about to hire, including past clients hiring again. Each lead names the hiring manager, confirmed in the job, with a current email and phone, and the warmest way in: a current or past client, a person your firm placed, or a contact your team authorizes.
Outreach runs from your firm’s own LinkedIn and email accounts, and your team keeps the client. Pricing is a monthly minimum credited against a fee on results, agreed before launch.
dreach is not a generic contact database. You cannot search it for any person at any company. If your need is one-off lookups, RocketReach or a peer is the simpler tool. dreach is for the lead on an employer that is hiring.

How to choose
If you know whom you want to reach, buy a database and test coverage on a sample from your niche. If you do not know which employer to call this week, a database will not tell you. Decide which of those problems you have, then buy for that one.
RocketReach is a reasonable contact database with published annual prices. It answers who to reach, not who is hiring. If the gap is timing at employers you know, dreach flags the opening, names the hiring manager, and shows the warmest way in, and your team works it from its own accounts.
