Cognism alternatives for staffing and recruiting firms
By Drippay, Inc.Published 7 min read
Cognism is a B2B data platform. It sells contact and company data, with an emphasis on phone-verified mobile numbers and on compliance, and it markets itself on European coverage. It is sold by a sales team, so buyers do not see a price list before they talk to someone.
Vendor facts are from Cognism’s own pages, checked October 6, 2026, and its numbers are its claims. Disclosure: we build dreach, a managed service for staffing and recruiting firms. dreach is not a contact database. It flags employers hiring and delivers the hiring manager with a current email and phone, and the warmest way in.
while you compare
dreach shows the client ledger.
Your team decides who to contact.
the short version
- Keep Cognism if you sell into Europe, value phone-verified mobiles and compliance coverage, and a sales-led purchase with a seat minimum fits the team.
- Choose Apollo if you want public per-seat prices and a self-serve start.
- Choose RocketReach if you want a published annual price for email and phone lookups.
- Consider dreach if you already know the employers you want and need to know which are hiring, who owns the role, and how to reach them through someone you know.
What Cognism does, from its own site
Cognism’s home page describes sales intelligence with phone-verified data, signals such as intent, hiring, job joins, and funding, CRM enrichment, and an MCP and API connection for AI assistants and other systems. It calls its data built for growth in Europe and says decision-maker data is refreshed every 30 days. It also describes extensive Do-Not-Call coverage across Europe. These are Cognism’s claims and we have not tested them.
What Cognism publishes about price
Its pricing page describes two sales prospecting packages, Standard and Pro, each with five seats included, plus a CRM Enrichment add-on. The page names features for each package and links to talk to sales. It does not list a price, so we do not give one. Our earlier comparison pages note that Cognism uses tailored quotes.
| Package | Price | What it lists |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Not public; talk to sales | Five seats included, firmographic, technographic, and signal filters, CSV enrichment, AI search, MCP and API access |
| Pro | Not public; talk to sales | Everything in Standard, plus a premium mobile filter, on-demand mobile verification, and intent data |
| CRM Enrichment | Not public; talk to sales | Add-on or standalone, to enrich and maintain CRM records |
When Cognism is the better choice
It is built for a team that sells by phone and wants a vendor to stand behind data quality.
- Your market includes the UK or Europe, where its compliance and Do-Not-Call coverage is the point.
- Mobile numbers matter more than volume, and on-demand verification is worth the sales-led process.
- You want hiring and job-change signals next to contact data.
- You have five or more seats of demand, since packages include five.

How to test a data vendor before a sales-led contract
Take twenty contacts your firm already knows, split between employers and hiring managers in your niche and region. Ask each vendor to return them blind. Count the records where the email works, the mobile connects, and the person still holds the role. Ask for the seat minimum, the term, the renewal rule, and what happens to credits or access if you stop.
Where dreach fits, and where it does not
dreach is a managed service for staffing and recruiting firms. It finds employers about to hire, including past clients hiring again. Each lead names the hiring manager, confirmed in the job, with a current email and phone, and the warmest way in: a current or past client, a person your firm placed, or a contact your team authorizes.
Outreach runs from your firm’s own LinkedIn and email accounts, and your team keeps the client. Pricing is a monthly minimum credited against a fee on results, agreed before launch.
dreach is not a generic contact database and does not sell phone-verified mobiles for any person at any company. If you need broad European contact coverage, Cognism or a peer fits better. dreach is for the lead on an employer that is hiring.

How to choose
If your problem is reaching the right person, test data vendors on a known sample and pick on results. If your problem is knowing which employer to call this week, more contact data will not solve it. Decide which one is costing you job orders.
Cognism is a sales-led data platform with a focus on phone-verified mobiles and European compliance, and it does not publish prices. Test it against peers on a sample you know. If the gap is timing at employers you already work with, dreach flags the opening and the warmest way in, and runs from your accounts.
