Largest staffing companies in the US (2026 list)

By Drippay, Inc.Published 7 min read

The largest staffing company in the US is Allegis Group. Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) estimates its 2025 US staffing revenue at $9.11 billion, ahead of Aya Healthcare at $6.30 billion and Insight Global at $4.55 billion. SIA published the list on June 4, 2026.

This page gives the ten largest US firms, the ten largest in the world, and the leaders in healthcare and IT, each with its source and date. It then covers what the list does and does not tell the owner of a smaller firm. Figures are SIA estimates unless a section says they come from a company filing. SIA’s full list is open to members only, so this page uses what SIA and the companies have published.

The 10 largest US staffing firms in 2026

SIA ranks firms by estimated US staffing revenue for 2025. Its report found 214 firms at or above $100 million, down from 227 on the prior list. Those 214 firms generated $122.4 billion in 2025, against $127.4 billion on last year’s list.

Three of the ten are healthcare staffing firms. If you place clinicians, that is the segment to watch.

How to read the numbers

SIA counts US staffing revenue, not total company revenue. A global firm appears with its US business only. SIA also says its figures are estimates and that accuracy may vary with a firm’s financial transparency. That matters most for private firms.

The list stops at $100 million in US staffing revenue. SIA’s news summary counts 214 firms above that bar. The report’s own page now describes 217 companies, so expect the count to move as SIA revises it.

Franchise brands count too. PrideStaff, a franchised organization, says in its own June 11, 2026 press release that it ranked 108th, for the 14th year in a row. That is a company claim about the SIA list, not an SIA statement.

For scale, the American Staffing Association’s latest company count on its statistics page is from 2021: around 27,000 staffing and recruiting companies in the US. Even allowing for change since, the 214 firms are a thin top slice of the industry.

The 10 largest staffing firms in the world

SIA’s global list, published July 30, 2026, covers 2025 revenue. The world’s 100 largest firms generated $265 billion and held 40 percent of the global market. Global staffing revenue rose 2 percent to $639 billion in 2025. The US is home to the most headquarters among the 100, with 41, ahead of the UK with 14 and Japan with 13.

Randstad ranked first for the eighth year in a row. Shares below are each firm’s share of global staffing revenue.

What public filings show

Three of the large firms report audited results. Use filings when you need a number you can defend, and SIA when you need a US staffing ranking. They measure different things, so do not compare the two tables.

What the list means for a smaller firm

It is a map of who your clients compare you with. In a vendor review, these names are the baseline. A smaller firm wins on a niche, a metro, or speed, not on scale.

It is not a prospect list. Firms this size are staffing suppliers themselves. Your buyers are the employers that hire through them and through you.

The market is flat to down. The list lost 13 firms and $5.0 billion in a year, and SIA expects about 1 percent growth in 2026. In a flat market, job orders come from reaching the employer that is hiring now, before the posting reaches every agency.

That last step is the one dreach covers. It flags past clients hiring again and employers about to hire, names the hiring manager with a current email and phone, and shows the warmest way in, so your team works the order from its own accounts.

The list ranks who is big. It does not say who is hiring. Use it to know your competition, then spend your time on the employers with a dated opening and a named manager. dreach covers that part: it flags past clients hiring again and employers about to hire, with the hiring manager’s current email and phone.
